the main focus is the adoption and improvement of GATE and MÍMIR frameworks in the biomedical domain. GATE is a framework for building semantic annotation pipelines oriented for language engineer’s users. MÍMIR provides a framework for implementing indexing and search functionality across semantic knowledge (text, annotations, semantic schemas-ontologies and semantic meta-data- instance data) GATE and MÍMIR are being used in Khresmoi to add value to the text and enriching it with semantic annotations, to add information to the documents so they can be indexed differently. USFD is using GATE to create Language processing pipelines in Khresmoi.
